SAFETY IS SECOND NATURE
SAFETY COMES NATURALLY WHEN IT’S A PART OF YOUR CULTURE

Safety ethos ingrained in workplace culture: instilling wellbeing as instinctive practice, not afterthought.

PDB Ground Works

A Culture Driven by Safety.

Culture rewards good behavior at every turn.

There’s no micromanagement.

In a safety-oriented culture, no CEO, VP, or foreman has to tell you to be safe.

When your culture’s aim is safety and excellence, good safety practices become the most natural thing in the world.

How do we know it’s working?

In 2024, we earned an industry leading EMR safety score (x-mod) of 71. We also have maintained a TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate of 0.00 for more than 7 years

So it’s like we said: second nature.

An attitude of safety is only part of the story. But attitude without action rings hollow.

We don’t just LOVE safety. We DO safety.

In every aspect of our operations.

Our OSHA safety records testify to our experienced personnel who are immersed in safe work practices. We train all employees, covering on-the-job and off-the-job safety procedures.

We train our shop personnel to recognize and report workplace hazards, while more experienced staff members mentor newer employees in worksite safety procedures.

This commitment to safety extends to our field personnel.

Equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle equipment safely on location and identify potential problems, our field personnel take appropriate actions to minimize safety hazards.

We attribute much of our success to a workplace where efficiency and safety go hand-in-hand.

With a culture of safety and ongoing training, we maintain a safe working environment for our employees and minimize risks associated with our operations.

A Culture of Safety.
Making safety the default

When safety is an attitude, it’s not something you have to consciously think about. It’s more like a habit.

PDB creates a strong safety culture through comprehensive training and fostering the right attitudes.

Training equips employees with the skills and knowledge to work safely and make informed decisions.

Experienced staff lead by example, demonstrating safe work practices and mentoring newer employees.

Regular training, meetings, and recognition programs reinforce the safety culture.

We provide employees with the tools and mindset to operate safely, ensuring safety becomes second nature.
