Cathodic Protection Services
What is Cathodic Protection?
Cathodic Protection is a specialized solution designed to prevent or reduce corrosion of metal surfaces, primarily in structures such as pipelines, storage tanks, offshore platforms, ships, and steel-reinforced concrete. These services are critical for industries like oil & gas, water treatment, marine, and construction.

For buried metallic utilities such as Water, Gas, Power and Petroleum
- Installing test stations at regular intervals, utilizing our inhouse pipeline construction crews and trusted electricians.
- Laying anode beds (shallow or deep). PDB holds speciality licenses within the state of CA and NV to drill vertical wells in a safe and effective manor, that allow sacrificial metal anodes to be laid near critical utilities.
- Installing rectifiers and cabling for ICCP systems. Our crews proudly work with public and private utilities to install power to the ICCP systems. These stations safely deliver DC currents to the utility in need of protection, creating a barrier that greatly slows oxidation and corrosion.
- Turnkey Service, including permitting, engineering, preconstruction, installation and testing and servicing can all be provided by PDB.

Commonly for exposed metal utility surfaces, above ground tanks or structural scaffolding a preferred method is to create protective layers that can withstand the elements, and create a manageable inspection system with the ability to solve oxidized areas quickly.
Our crews safely remove and discard of asbestos layers, have been extensively trained to properly and safely prep surfaces prior to the multi step wrapping and paining process that ensure a long term solution.
